This hotel is Close to the US and Canada border and is located near the Bluewater Bridge International Border Crossing to USA. As a part of my Business trip, I stayed here for 2 nights in September 2019. This was my first stay in a Hampton Inn from Hilton Group.

Initially I booked 3 nights in this hotel, but the Flight from Toronto got cancelled at the last moment, so I called the hotel reception @8PM and asked them to cancel the first day accommodation. When I received the invoice during checkout, I noticed that they had not taken the charges for the First day accommodation. This was a surprise for me, as I cancelled that accommodation late evening and they did not include that night’s charges in my bill.

Advantages:

Free Parking available.

Enough parking space was available.

There are also some meeting rooms available here.

Microwave and Small Refrigerator was available.

Near to Canatara Park and Point Edward Casino.

There is a Tim Hortons near by.

There is a 24-Hour Snack shop available near the reception.

Free Wifi and a 43Inch HDTV was available

The Breakfast spread was OK.

An indoor heated pool is available.

A Gym facility is available.

Disadvantages:

• They don’t provide Drinking water in the room.
• Did not see much change in the breakfast menu.
• The bathroom fittings were not great. (Old models/Leakage)
• One of the elevators were broken almost the whole day, so people had to spend more time waiting for the other elevator. I have read in Trip advisor that this is a regular issue with this hotel.
• Did not find much super market options available near this property.
• The hotel doesn’t have a full restaurant which serves Lunch and Dinner and unfortunately no much restaurant options was also available nearby.

Note:

Many hotels like Holiday inn (2 properties) and best Western are very near to this Hampton inn.

Sarnia is a small place with limited taxi options, so these numbers might be handy.
